Timothy Eric Ruh

Timothy Eric Ruh, 52, of Vermilion, died Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Danbury Senior Living North Ridgeville after a lengthy illness with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

He was born June 13, 1970 in Sandusky, OH and had been a life long Vermilion area resident.

Timothy graduated from Vermilion High School in 1988 where he was involved with the wrestling team.   He then received his degree from ATI, Wooster in Dairy and Cattle Production and Management.  Timothy developed a passion for welding and mechanical work and pursued a career as a Millwright.  He worked for Elyria Foundry, KBI Bearings, Delphi, and Borgers.

He was a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermilion.  He was also a past member of the Great Lakes Gymnastics Team and the YMCA Diving Team.  He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and his Harley Davidson, Mud Bog Racing with his truck, shooting sports, tent camping, and cooking with a cast iron skillet over a camp fire.  He loved his Bullmastiff dogs and had an interest in solving and fixing mechanical problems. His talents in welding were known by many and it was said "that he could weld an arm on a snowman".

He is survived by his parents, Thomas G. and Janet (nee Maneilly) Ruh of Vermilion; daughters, Kathryn J. and Grace L Ruh of Amherst; and his brother, Tom S (Becky) Ruh of Greenwich.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Kathryn E Ruh and his maternal grandparents, William and Beatrice Eileen Maneilly.
