Todd David Wiley, 55, of Vermilion, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, after a three-year hard-fought battle with cancer.
He was born on October 31, 1969, in Berea, Ohio, and grew up in Brook Park as a 1988 graduate from Midpark High School and he made his home in Vermilion Ohio for the past 25 years. Todd loved Vermilion, he embraced the community and everything Lake Erie had to offer.
He is survived by his sister, Stacey (Mike) Thompson of Conway, South Carolina; his beloved nephews Nick and Noah; and so many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon (née Uhlir) Smith, and his father, David J. Wiley.
Todd worked for many years as a Heating and Cooling Instructor at Vatterott College in Broadview Heights until the college’s closure. He later continued his career at Madison Commercial Real Estate overseeing heating and cooling systems for some of the largest buildings in Cleveland.
Todd will be remembered by his love for life, and he sure made the most of it during his short lifetime! He had a love and passion for music that was immeasurable by attending so many rock concerts, SO MANY, especially his love for his brothers from The End Matt, Mike, Tony, and Lance. His love for the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs was ongoing even though they disappointed him every year, loved his Buckeyes too!! Food… Todd LOVED food making it and eating it, his love for drag racing, Cedar Point, Florida, Disney, the ocean, fishing, drawing, collecting vintage items from his childhood since he was a kid a heart, loved animals, spending time with friends and especially his family. His love for Christmas and spoiling his nephews Nick and Noah, gosh he loved them so very much! His smile was contagious, and his eyes as blue as the Caribbean Sea, with a heart of gold.
A celebration of Todd’s life will be held on October 17th at The Legendary Barrel House Saloon 101 E. Shoreline Drive Sandusky, OH 44870 at 7:00 PM
