Travis W. Morgan, 73, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic Foundation following a brief illness with cancer. Travis was born September 24, 1941 in Tupelo, Mississippi, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 48 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during Vietnam. Travis worked as repairman for Ford Motor Co., Lorain for 30 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion where he loved his church family. He also was a member of the UAW Local # 425 for many years. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Julia "Nan" (nee Loague) Morgan of Vermilion, his children that he loved so very much, Christopher (Marsha) Morgan of Vermilion, Kimberly (George) Shullick of Vermilion; and Todd Everett Morgan of Sandusky; 4 grandchildren, Brad Morgan, Sierra Shullick, Joshua Shullick and Jacob Shullick. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents in Mississippi. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2014, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion where the Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home. The Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery,Vermilion.
