Twila Lynn Hagood

Twila Lynn Hagood (nee Blake), 59 of Vermilion , died Tuesday, January 8, 2008. She was born October 17, 1948 in Lorain, Ohio. She has been a Vermilion resident for the past 17 years moving from Lorain. She had worked as a cosmetologist for many years, she also worked for the Lorain County Equal Employment Agency and the Employment and Training Agency. She had also worked as the director for the Lorain County Litter Control Department representing the Ohio Department of Natural Recourses (ODNR), and she was a Liaison Officer for the Lorain County Engineer's Office. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion, the Lorain Democratic Women�s Club, and the Lorain VFW Post # 425. She enjoyed mystery movies, going to the casinos, being involved in politics, shopping, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, David Hagood; 3 daughters: Kelly (nee Green) Caudill of Vermilion, Betsy Green of Vermilion, and Paula (nee Pliszka) Clark of Sheffield Village; son, Dan Pliszka of Vermilion; 8 grandchildren; Lynsey and Cory Holzhauer, Sarah, Jessica and Jacob Caudill, Savannah Pliszka and Faye and Leann Clark; 2 sisters, Christy Kosztyo of Lorain, and Tammy Ramirez of Amherst; 2 brothers Steve Blake of Lorain, and E.T. Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Bessie (nee Christy) Blake and an infant daughter, Lori Ann Pliszka. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 10:30 am, with Reverend Denis St. Marie officiating.
