Virginia P. Allen-LaBine (nee Cunningham), 88, of Vermilion, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness. She was born January 16, 1927 in Wingo, KY, and had been an Ashland resident for 50 years before moving to Vermilion a year and a half ago. She had also lived in Silver Springs, FL for several years. Virginia had been a very active member of the Ashland Christian and Missionary Alliance Church as well as the Faith Baptist Church in Silver Springs, FL. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and cooking. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Forest LaBine of Vermilion; daughters, Patsy (Jim) Gray of Monaca, PA and Joyce (Grant) Harding of Vermilion; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and brothers, Roy Cunningham of Mayfield, KY and Doss Cunningham, Jr. of Mayfield, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doss and Mary (nee Weeks) Cunningham; first husband, Herschel Allen in 1994; and sister, Dottie Turner. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Ashland County Memorial Park, 1058 US-250, Ashland, OH 44805. Rev. David Baynes will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Centers, Sandusky, 417 Quarry Lakes Drive, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
