Virginia L. Deptula

Virginia L. Deptula, 86 of Lorain, died Monday, March 8, 2010 in Community Health Partners following a lengthy illness. She was born January 1, 1924 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lorain High School and attended Kent State University and the Cleveland School of Art. Virginia was an accomplished artist and worked as a fashion illustrator for numerous department stores and as a commercial artist at American Greetings Company. She is survived by her sisters, Dolores Mitzel of Olmsted Falls and Emma Muniga of Lorain; niece, Cheryl Mitzel of Canton and nephew, Jeffrey Mitzel of Austin, Texas. She was preceded-in-death by her parents, Teofil and Jennie (nee Nejman) Deptula and a niece, Deanna Van Meter. Friends may call on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Reverend James Cake will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
