Virginia M. Tanski

Virginia M. Tanski (nee Vaughn ), 90, of Vermilion, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. Virginia was born October 20, 1925 in Elyria. She had been a Vermilion resident for over 60 years. She was involved in Bible Study groups at the Christ Episcopal Church in Huron and Vermilion. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is survived by daughters, Ann (Barry) Eckstein, Carol O'Connor, and Jennie (Tom) Buchte, all of Vermilion; grandson, Brian (Amy) Cobb; great-granddaughters, Emily and Nicole; sister, Beverly Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Tanski; parents, Kenneth and Corinne Vaughn (nee Weisman); brother, Robert Vaughn; and a son in infancy. A memorial service at A Fresh Wind Church, 1115 Milan Avenue, Amherst, will be held at a later date.
