Virginia Thrash

Virginia Thrash (nee White), 72, of Vermilion, died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Virginia was born May 1, 1944 in Walnut Grove, MS and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 49 years moving from Lorain. Virginia worked as a nurses aide for over 20 years and retired from the Ohio Veterans Home in 1998 after 10 years. She enjoyed going to the races and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Donald Thrash of Vermilion; daughter, Linda Thrash of Nashville, GA; son, Paul Thrash of Sandusky; grandsons, Timothy Thrash and Zachary Thrash; and sister, Carolyn Vance. She was preceded in death by her father, R.J. White; mother, Ruth (nee Kelly) Friend; granddaughter, Allison Thrash; and sisters, Dolores Simmons, Marilyn Bishop, and Bonnie Billingsley. Private services were held.
