Wanda Yankey Huff

Wanda Yankey Huff, 74 of Vermilion, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 in Kingston of Vermilion following a lengthy illness. She was born February 29, 1932 in Anchorage, KY, where she lived until moving to Vermilion in 1966. She worked as a food and beverage manager for Howard Johnson in the Cleveland area, retiring in 1987 after 25 years. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion, enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening and cooking. She was proud having lived to recently welcome triplet great-granddaughters into her family. Survivors include her daughters, Robin Jung of Louisville, KY, Shelly Mey of Vermilion and Nancy Wissler of Aurora, CO; sons, Michael Huff of Vermilion and Robert Huff of Portland, OR; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Wickett and Sarah Schott, both of Louisville, KY; brother, Ernest Yankey of Louisville, KY. She was preceded-in-death by her parents, Robert and Maude (nee Sales) Yankey. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 28, 2006, with the Reverend Guy Morton, pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation Cleveland Branch, 2381 Chagrin Blvd #210, Cleveland, Ohio 44122-5525.
