Wanda E. Law

Wanda E. Law (nee Mauer ), 95, of Vermilion, died Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness .

She was born June 12, 1927 in Lorain , OH and had been a life long Vermilion resident.

Wanda had worked in the  Style Center, Lorain before working for May Company in post office sales and also in gift wrap.

She was a past member of Madeleine Chapter #204 OES Vermilion.  Wanda enjoyed reading, gardening and golfing.  She was a talented artist and excelled at drawing cartoon characters and leather work.

She is survived by her sons, Randy (Patti) Law of Lorain and Mark (Tammy) Law of Louisville, KY; daughter, Wendy Hammer of Vermilion; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Russell and Wilma (nee Aken) Mauer; sisters, June Wood, Lois Marie Hoebing, and Maxine Grob and her son-in-law, John Hammer.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of closing prayers at 11:30 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.  The Reverend Richard Kretchmar will officiate.  Graveside services will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
