Wayne G. Boone

Wayne G. Boone, Sr., 68 of Vermilion, died Friday, April 7, 2006 in Community Health Partners West after a sudden illness. He was born January 25, 1938 in Vermilion, OH and has been a life long area resident. He worked for the City of Vermilion on the streets department for 39, years retiring in 2001. Prior to working for the city he delivered milk for Maurer-Wikel Dairies, Vermilion. He was a 1957 graduate of Vermilion High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed country rides and watching American Chopper. Survivors include his daughter, Megan Hale of Vermilion, son, Wayne Boone, Jr. of Vermilion, 2 grandchildren, sister, Doris Sturm of Vermilion, and brother, Harold Boone of Lorain. Preceding him in death were his parents, Alva and Ester (nee Wiley), and 2 brothers: Robert and Tom Boone. Friends may call Monday, April 10, 2006 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:30 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
