Wayne E. Weisman

Wayne E. Weisman, 81, of Vermilion, died Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Kingston of Vermilion after a brief illness.

He was born April 18, 1942 in Elyria and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 30 years moving from Florida and Elyria, OH.

Wayne worked for Southern Bell Telephone in Florida as a sales representative prior to moving to Vermilion where he worked for his family for 30 years at Valley Harbor Marina.

He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 20 years where he was proud to have helped many people with their recovery.  Wayne enjoyed boating, crossword puzzles, all types of trivia, and watching Jeopardy.

He is survived by his family, David Phillips, Dan Phillips, Darren Phillips, Todd Kroucik, and many other nieces and nephews, as well as numerous close friends, including Patrick McCullen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. and Arline (nee Garber) Weisman; brother, Harold Weisman Jr.; and his sister, Norma Macpherson and Nancy Janowicz.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 4 until 6 pm at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH.
