Wesley Eugene Guest

Wesley Eugene Guest,70, of Ore City, TX and formerly of Vermilion, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his home after a sudden illness. Wesley was born March 24, 1942 in West Memphis, TN. He moved to Vermilion in 1959 and to Ore City, TX in 1993. Wesley worked as a repairman for Ford Automotive Co., Lorain for 33 years retiring in 1993. He then moved to Ore City, TX and opened Home Town Pizza and later Guest Auto Sales which he owned and operated for 10 years. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion and First Baptist Church, Ore City, TX. He was also a member of the UAW #425. He enjoyed going to car shows, working in the yard, gardening, and cookouts. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Tim (Lisa) Guest of Ore City, TX, Thomas Guest of Louisville, KY, Bill Guest of Ore City, TX, Donald Guest of Vermilion; daughters, Terri Shattuck of Ore City, TX, Donna Morris of Vermilion, Ginny (Rick) Crow of Vermilion, Lori Guest of Lorain, and Jamie (Jonathon) Cook of Ore City, TX; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and sisters, Pam Petty and Carol Guest. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Guest in 2007; parents, William Bryon Guest and Mary Esterliy (nee Boyd) Manning; brother, William Guest; son-in-law, Paul Morris and several aunts. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Tuesday April 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home. Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
