Willa Ruth Henson

Willa Ruth Henson (nee McElroy), 53, of Vermilion, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born October 28, 1963 in Zanesville, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 12 years moving from Lorain and California. Willa graduated from Lorain Community College with a nursing degree and worked for Ohio Veterans Home as a Nurse for the past 3 years. She had also worked at Kingston of Vermilion for 13 years. She enjoyed playing BINGO and loved animals. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Todd Henson of Vermilion; sons, Jacob Frey and Jaden Frey both at home; daughter, Jennifer Grey at home; parents, Richard and Ruth (nee Shumat) McElroy; brother, Richard McElroy, Jr.; sisters, Sherry Bandaski and Jane Landman; and sister-in-law, Rhonda Callahan. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda and Beth. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Ohio.
