Victor William Dellefield went home to be with the Lord on October 31st, 2011. Victor was born on Oct 24, 1920 in Elyria, Ohio on Murray Ridge Road to the late Peter and Rosa ( nee Roebke ) Dellefield. He joined the Army and served in WWII in Belgium and England with the 717th Railway Operating Battalion. After the war, he was employed at Lake Terminal Railroad and worked there until his retirement. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and was often found volunteering at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Lorain. In the last years of his life Victor received Jesus Christ as his Savior. Victor is survived by his daughters Dawn Berens ( Phil ) and Carrie Romanin ( John ); grandchildren Abigail, Zachary and Vincent. He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Jane (nee Aranyi ) in August of 2008 and brothers Walter, Richard, Howard, Leonard, Gailord and sisters Helen Franklin and Donna Lentz. A private graveside memorial will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Dombrowski - Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain is assisting the family with arrangements.
