William (Bill) F. Fedor, 72, of Vermilion, joined his Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after a lengthy illness. Bill was born December 23, 1942 in Lorain, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 40 years. After graduating from Lorain St. Mary's High School, Bill worked for US Steel for nearly 25 years. He later became a bus driver for the Vermilion Local School District before retiring in 2011. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion, a member of the Knights of Columbus and AMVETS Post #22, enjoyed yard work, boating, fishing, golfing and was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lorie Fedor (nee Snezek); daughter, Rebecca Franczak of Elyria; son, Scott (Tracy) Fedor of Cypress, TX, and grandchildren, Matthew Franczak, and Colin and Megan Fedor. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma (nee Kerpics) Fedor. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Prayers will be said Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary Church Emergency Fund, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH 44089 or to St. Mary Catholic Church for Memorial Masses.
