William B. "Bill" Kirchner (nee ), 90, of Elyria , died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Wesleyan Village after a brief illness Bill was born May 25, 1925 in Van Wert, OH. He had been an Elyria resident for the past 10 years moving from Vermilion. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving during WWII where he served in Europe. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Miami University. Bill was a Industrial Engineer for Ex-Cell-O Corporation in Newington, Ct., retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Vermilion Rotary, the Lorain Senior Fellowship Club, Barbershop Quartet of Vermilion, and the Workshop Players in Amherst. He enjoyed acting, painting, and golf. He is survived by his daughter. Jill (Frederick ) Fryberger of Vermilion; and son, David (Christine) Kirchner of Middletown, RI; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mary Lou (Ebersbach) in 2012; parents, Edward B. and Ethel (nee Evick) Kirchner; sisters, Elizabeth, Adaline, Thelma, and Erma; and brother, Carroll Kirchner. At the family's request, all services are private.
