William Lettenberger

William "Bill" John Lettenberger, 91, of Lorain, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Ohio Veteran's Home after a lengthy illness. He was born July 8, 1930 in Kiel, WI and had been a resident of Lorain since 1968. Bill was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War. He worked as a firefighter and as an insurance adjuster. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, photography, traveling, singing, and was active at St. Peter's church in Lorain. He is survived by his son, William "J" Lettenberger, grandchildren, Amanda (Michael) Gonzales, Alicia Brewer, Alex (Gina Smith) Horning, Dr. Cassandra (Daniel) Lettenberger-Klein, and Cayla Lettenberger; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jasef "JC", Elaine, Eli, and Orion Gonzalez, X'avier, Carmen, and Vanessa Horning, and Emily, Samantha, and William Lettenberger-Klein. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen (nee Silvas) Lettenberger, daughters, Rebecca Lettenberger and Gloria Horning, and his parents, Herman A. and Alvira S. (nee Klauck) Lettenberger. A Celebration of Life will be held this Summer.
