William Edmund Morehouse, Jr.

William "Bill" E. Morehouse Jr., 81, of Vermilion, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born on July 4, 1942, in Cleveland, OH, Bill called Vermilion home for the past six decades, having relocated from Avon.

Bill was a proud graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and dedicated 19 years of his professional life to Chrysler Plastics, where he served as a Forecaster before retiring.

His passions in life included collecting cars, indulging in woodworking, and cherishing moments with his beloved family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 48 years, Judith (nee Slack) Morehouse-Lane of Vermilion; his son, Beau (Brandi) Maxey of Avon; daughter, Dawn Maxey of Sherman, CA; grandchildren, Poppy, Kylee, Hunter, Michael, and Taylor; and his sister, Rosemary (Ron) Mahl of Avon Lake.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Sr. and Ruth (nee Kregor) Morehouse, as well as his sister, Penelope Morehouse.

Services at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m.  A celebration of Bill's life will also be held at a later date.
