William F. Terry, 82, of Vermilion, died Thursday, January 8, 2004, in Kingston of Vermilion after a 4 year illness.. He was born December 5, 1921 in Trenton, Tennessee. He moved to Vermilion in 1958 from Memphis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a stock checker for Ford Motor in Lorain. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion, and he enjoyed watching baseball. Survivors include his son, Danny Terry of Vermilion; daughter, Judy Ward of Amherst; 2 grandchildren; Vincent Montagnese and Lauren Christie; 3 brothers, Aubry Terry, Marion Terry, both of Bells, TN and Clifford Terry of Vermilion; 2 sisters, Virginia Terry of Alamo, TN. and Modene Dicus of Manassas, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife, Billie (nee Chapman) Terry, 1981; parents, Willie and Ary (nee Robbins) Terry; and a sister, Gladys Buford . Friends may call Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Monday, January 12, 2004, at 11 a.m. with The Reverend Guy Morton, pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
