Wilma E. Dellifield (nee Parke), 94, of Henrietta Township, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a lengthy illness. She was born November 15, 1922 in Oberlin and had been a Henrietta Township resident for the past 70 years moving from Warren, OH. Wilma graduated from Elyria High School. She had worked at Watson Hardware, Oberlin as the book keeper and manager of their toy department. She had also worked in Miss Cobbs Dress Shop, Oberlin and Oberlin Laundry as the book keeper. She was an active member of Henrietta United Church of Christ where she served as deaconess and secretary. Wilma taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was a member of the Women's Guild. She had also been a PTA President for Firelands High School and chairman of the Firelands Boosters Club. Wilma enjoyed volunteering at Allen Memorial Hospital, reading, crossword puzzles, square dancing, slot machines, canning and baking, gardening, and camping. She is survived by her son, Dennis L. (Marilee) Dellifield of Ada; daughter, Patricia Y. (Bob) Caywood of Vermilion; grandsons, David (Jami) Dellifield and Jon (Tammy) Dellifield, granddaughter, Colin (Andrew) Tillotson; great grandchildren, Nora, Ian, and Gavin Dellifield, and Ashton Mathys; grandcat, Edith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Dellifield; parents, Benjamin French and Josie (nee Hutchison) Parke Bartlett; and sister, Frances Grocott. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of a memorial service at 11:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Pastor Richard Henry will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Birmingham Cemetery, Birmingham, OH.
