Wilma B. James, 70, of Vermilion, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Community Health Partners in Lorain following a sudden illness. She was born December 2, 1935 in Huntingdon, Tennessee and has lived in Vermilion since 1959. She retired from the Ford Motor Company Lorain Assembly Plant after 26 years of service and was a member of the U.A.W. Local 425. She was also a member of the AMVETS Auxillary #22 and the American Legion Post #397, both in Vermilion. Survivors include her sons, Gary L. Thrasher of Bay Village and Keith B. James of Vermilion; 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons; sisters, Lonnie Key of Medina, TN and Laverne Meredith of Huron; brother,Troy Cunningham of Vermilion. She was preceded-in-death by her husband, Robert J. James in 1983, her parents, Charlie L. and Thelma L. (nee Miller) Cunningham, brothers, Homer and Arvil Cunningham and a sister, Jean Swanson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 from 2-4 / 7-9pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 11:00am at the Riddle Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Resecker, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
