Wilma Bernice Lemke (nee Christian), 68, of Vermilion, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness. Wilma was born July 21, 1943 in Huntington, WV, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 45 years moving from Lorain. She worked as the Kitchen Manager for McGarvey's Restaurant for over 20 years retiring in 1984. She also owned and operated Shir-Wil Ceramics. Wilma enjoyed ceramics, country music, reading cook books, organizing recipes, and bowling. She bowled on the Thursday morning league at Lake Erie Lanes and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald Wilbert Lemke of Vermilion; sons, William "Randy" (Kathy) Pace of Lorain and Ronald Wellner of Elyria, daughters: Rebecca (Rick) Missig of Vermilion, Elaine (Allan) Rigo of Lorain, Veronica Lemke of Zephyr Hills, FL, Judith (Walt) Keith of Las Vegas, Renee Lemke of Las Vegas, and Cheri (Tom) Patton of Sandusky; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brothers, Frederick Bruce Christian, Rodney Christian, Steve Christian, and Daniel Christian; sisters: Diane Sexton, Teresa Glascock, Joyce Hicks, Kimberly Ferguson, and Jeanene Tolson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Jr. and Freda (nee Legge) Christian; infant son, Richard Pace; brother, Layman Christian; and sister, Sheila Blake. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Ohio where the family requests that you wear pink and or white to honor Wilma's memory. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 10 am at the funeral home. Elder Richard Adams will officiate. Interment will follow at Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Twp.
