Woodford Miles Terry, 69, of Huron, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his home after a lengthy illness. Woodford was born September 16, 1943 in Grayson, KY. He had been a Huron resident for the past 40 years moving from Lorain. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Woodford worked for Laborers Local #758, Lorain, retiring from Akers Construction. He had been a member of the VFW, Vermilion, American Legion, Lorain, the Knights of St. John, Lorain, the Moose Club of Lorain, and South Shore Wildlife, Vermilion. He enjoyed gardening, He is survived by his wife, Brenda (nee Tolson) Terry of Huron; daughters, Ellen (John) Brumby of Wakeman. and Norrie (Buddy) Williamson of Greenwich; sons, Woodford Terry Jr. of Huron and Robert Terry of Huron; grandson, John Brumby, Jr.; sisters, Alice (Jay ) Sexton of Middleburg, FL, Linda (Don) Pond of Middleburg, FL, and Gwen (Wendell) Hall of Lexington, KY and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miles and Nola (nee Gullett) Terry; brothers, Charles, James, John, Tom, Elmer, Sherman, Hoover and Robert; sisters, Ethel, Nancy and Bonnie and 3 infant siblings. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 2- 4 pm and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday, May 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Scott Skeens will officiate Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, where the Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors.
