Yvonne L. Shupe (nee Good), 73, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. She was born March 11, 1939 in Sandusky and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 50 years moving from Berlin Heights. Yvonne worked for Lithonia Lighting for 35 years, retiring in the early 1990's. She was a past member of the AMVETS Post #22, and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Diane) Shupe of Vermilion; daughters, Sharon (Scott) Ebert of Sandusky and Tammy (Dean) Ripley of Vermilion; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Good of Sandusky; and sisters, Cora Snyder of Bay View, Paulette Turley of North Carolina, and Charlotte Simon of Norwalk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Linkenbach) Good; companion, Charles "Tuna" Sima Jr.; and brother, Albert Good Jr. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 11 am until the time of a Memorial Service at 1 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Jim Peter will officiate. Interment will follow at Meadow Green Cemetery, Huron. The family suggests memorial contributions to New Life Hospice of St. Joseph 5255 N.
